Similarities and Differences

Cats and dogs are very interesting because they share many qualities, as well as having their own qualities that the other does not have. Some examples that cats are similar to dogs are that cats and dogs are both domesticated animals, and walk on all four. Plus they both are regular animals you expect as a pet. Furthermore, both have binocular vision, which means their eyes are placed at the front of their heads to see in front, unlike fish who see side to side.

But dogs and cats aren't the same in all things. I mean, that’s why dogs are hounds and cats are felines instead of them both being in the same group. There are many more differences as well, like, cats being related to lions and dogs being related to wolves, and cats are able to eject their claws to defend themselves while dogs, their stuck to biting. That may slightly be one reason that cats live twenty one years and dogs only live twelve and a half years or so.

There are some interesting facts about the two animals to go along with all of the differences and similarities. I mean, isn't it interesting to know there is not an animal in the world related to the cats and the dogs. Or maybe cat and dog owners beat bird owners in the US 69.7% to 3.9%. its even cool to know that about 32% of Americans own cats, but are still beaten by 37% of the US population owning dogs. Even settlers owned these two animals as pets, although, even back then, dogs were favored over cats. Maybe when your teacher gives you another history test, you can even surprise them by putting down that Abraham Lincoln owned both a cat and a dog (and a turkey, a horse, a rabbit, some goats, and a koala).

Isn't it just cool to know this stuff now. It may not be the most important thing to know but it still beats just knowing that dogs and cats are different, cause now you know the differences.

My 5 Senses

As I step outside I feel the wind blow fresh air to me. I see the pool to my right while I walk toward the fire pit. When I sit down, my legs relax and I feel the stone under my feet. The smell of the flowers slightly beyond the pool is drifting toward me. I spot the tree house in the neighbor’s yard when I look up. I can hear the wind swoop across my face when I stand.
As I stand up I can see my brother playing and the leaves blowing around him. I can smell pine carried by the wind and hear the dog barking at the fence. I taste the milk run down my throat when I drink and feel the ground slide beneath my feet while I walk. I step inside and smell cookies baking. I hear the fan running and see the clock ticking while I walk upstairs. I lie down, close my eyes and fall asleep.

Chapter 1
The Great Chase


There once was a small lone forest were the wolves and birds lived peacefully... until the day the great hunter came. Now everyone was in hiding and couldn't trust
Anyone with anything. All hope was lost to everyone but to a young, brave orphan Michel. The black fur red eyed wolf who had lost his father to a bear and there to
the dreaded Hunter. The only family he had left was his cousin, Cole. Michel usefully hung out with his friend, Daxter. Daxter was a back fured green eyed wolf with a
crazy apatite and even crazier ideas.
One day they were out playing Wolfal Ball when Michel suddenly said " There’s those lousy birds eating' the food in the kitchen
again. les go hunt them down for another trophy. Killers keep!" he shouted as they stared howling as they ran towards the birds. They chased them for so long that they
couldn’t tell were they were.
Suddenly gun shots and a slight ray of light told him they were at the forbidden forest edge. having to turn back with only on nip of the eagles wing
he turned without Daxter who, unaware of the hunter, kept casing the birds.
Michel suddenly had the weird idea of killing the Hunter for revenge. "Imossible," he thought
to himsef "even the leader of the tribe can't beat him. The only thing we know of only turns him to stone with liquid obsidian and we’ve only been able to cover his foot.”
“Besides the path is very dangerous for a weakling like you” a loud voice said to him
“Hey Cole.” Michel said to the red fur red eyed coyote in front of him.
“Oh, come on still upset about that, Michel. Here, if it pays back for that accident I’ll go with you to beat the Hunter.” Michel’s tough cousin said.
“Too late I’ve already decided not to go anyways.” Michel told him.
“Well then I guess you don’t want to get revenge on him for your mother. Well I guess I’m not even good enough to change your mind. Nope” Cole said snottily.
“FINE I’LL GO JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU BIG JERK!” Michel shouted at him, mad that he had spoken about his mother’s death again.
As if Cole had been to the great Obsidian cave before, he led the way.
……

“Were in the world did Michel go” Daxter said quietly as he searched for wolf-prints in the wet mud. “He couldn’t have gone that fa…” he stopped as he spotted two pairs of foot prints. That’s weird. He started following them dizzily.
“I hate hawks, especially Harold. I definitely shouldn’t of bragged about being strong cause I’m not.” He said to himself as he accidentally walked into a tree. Suddenly another branch fell from the tree because of a squirrel.
“CONK! YOULCH!!” he screeched as the branch hit him in the head. Falling to the ground he fell asleep, completely unconscious… “Daxter, is that you. DAX! I HAVENT SEEN YOU FOR ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR!!!! What are you doing out here?” said a squeaky familiar voice.
“WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WERE, WHY! DON’T KILL ME PLEASE! I’VE GOT SO MUCH TO LIVE F… Wait, John?” said Daxter “ I thought I told you I’d eat you next time I saw you come here you little, I’m going to beat the tar out of you, you stupid squirrel! You now what you’re not worth it. I’ve got to find Michel and whoever else went with him. Now where’s that trail? Aha, here it is.” He said as he started running along the foot prints, not seeing the Hunter in the tree watching him.
“Maybe this’ll be the one that leads me to that red eyed black trophy wolf.” Said the hunter as he lowered his gun. “Mwahahahahahahahaha!”

Indiana Jones' complaints

Yesterday, my dog Indiana Jones told me about his complaints. First he said "I'm way to hairy." So we brought him outside and shaved him bald. Then he complained " You get all the good food." So we brought in a big, juicy steak covered in steak sauce. He devoured it in seconds. Next, our dog complained "My collars to tight." So we loosened his collar to the point of it almost falling off. Then our bald,full,collar-loose dog said the wierdest thing ever "Clifford doesn't like me!" Thats when we said "Sucks to be you now doesnt it." Then he complained "My tail is way to short." So we went to the Holloween sector in Walmart and bought a fake dog tail. Then we soed it onto his tail. He then became a jerk and said "You never listen to me! " So we went and built a translater devise and attached it to his collar.

science

In science I learned a lot. The thing that grasped me the most was this: It is unsafe to look at the sun because it causes destruction in your retina* which could cause mager damage or even blindness by its intense heat and bright lights. Your retina has a very little amount of nerve so you cant even feel it. In fact the sun is so intense that it is unsafe to look at even from Eris.

*Retina: a piece of the back of your eye. I didnt know that.

Family Fun Fest 2009

On Sunday, August 23rd at 10 a.m. we will have our 2nd Annual Family Fun Fest. We will start with an exiting worship service followed by a time of play, food, and family fun. Don’t miss the service full of worship and prayer.
We will have a bunch of events including the fun ending event: the largest food fight Decatur has ever known!!! All throughout the day we will have events like petting zoos, dunk tanks, even the pond will be open and much much more.

My First

This is my first post so I just want to say that the picture isnt of me () . I watched a TV show the other day called merlin and its in its first series. I think that its a realy cool show if your in the middle of the "Arthur Series". I love the internet and all other electronics. I used to allways be on electronics untill this summer.
